The farm Ás in Ásahreppur is located in the South of Iceland, just 80 km from Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. The closest town is Hella, just 12 km east of Ási. 
Horses are mainly our business but we also have a few sheep, for fun and for the house hold. The service provided includes horse training, horse sales and horse tours into the Icelandic wilderness. The owners of Ás are Guðmundur Hauksson and Eydís Indriðadóttir. Guðmundur is a certified horse trainer and a member of the Icelandic Horse Trainer Association. (FT). He is also a certified riding teacher B and has been a professional trainer and in the horse business for many years. Eydís is a school teacher, but is currently the chairman of the Ás community council and works full time as such. Eydís also works with the horses in her spear time. At Ás there are between 20 and 30 horses being trained and there are always some good horses for sale too.
